Leonard E Sturgill

Leonard E. Sturgill, age 62 of Salem, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 9:30 pm, in his residence.  Born January 14, 1955 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Edmond Edwin and Fannie (Sexton) Sturgill.  He had been a resident of Washington County for most of his life, was a retired truck driver and had visited all 48 states in his travels. He married December 25, 1998 to Kathryn (Russ) Sturgill, who survives.  Also surviving are: Son: Jimmy Dean Sturgill, Salem;  2 Daughters: Tomie Roseann Beville, Florida and Samantha Sturgill, Indiana;  Mother & Stepfather: Fannie and Eugene Collins, Salem; Sister: Reba Wynn, Brendenburg, Kentucky;  Brother: Elvis Collins, Tunnelton, Indiana, 3 half brothers in Virginia and 5 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, Edmond Sturgill.  

Funeral Service: 5:00 pm Monday at Dawalt Funeral Home.

Visitation: 3 to 5 pm Monday.

Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
