Tom Brown of Salem, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 7:41 am in his residence at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 7 days. Born May 19, 1953 in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of the late Jesse A. Brown Jr. and Margaret (Colber) Brown. He married April 7, 1971 to Karen (Kinnard) Brown, who survives. He was a former employee of Morgan Foods in Austin, Holmes Company in Scottsburg and Robust Inc. in Madison. He was a 1971 graduate of Southwestern High School in Hanover, Indiana Survivors include: Daughter: Kelly Brown, Salem; Daughter: Kasey Tabor, Salem; Father: Leon Brierly, Florida; Brother: Terry Brown, Franklin, Indiana; 3 Granddaughters: Hayley Stearns, Cameron Tabor and Cadence Tabor all of Salem. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Brown and Margaret Colber Brierly.
Funeral Service: 11 am Friday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Thursday and after 9 am Friday. Cremation will follow the service/

Karen ,Kasey & Kelly I am so sorry about Tom''s passing. He will be missed by all, especially at the family reunions. He has fought a long time and now he is at peace with his family in heaven. Our prayers go out to you and your family.

Van & I are so sorry to hear about Tom. I know you guys have been through so much and for such a long time. Sorry we won''t be able to come to the funeral. Just wanted you to know we are thinking about all of you.
