Obituary
Thomas D. Cole, age 69 of Salem, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 9:29 pm, in the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana.
Born May 11, 1953 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late David and Jennie (Carter) Cole.
He was a life resident of Washington County, graduated from West Washington High School and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He was a former employee of the old Smith Cabinet Factory in Salem and the old Chair Company in Paoli and for the last 20 years he worked on his family's farm.
Survivors include:
Son: Curtis "Jake" Cole of Needham, Indiana; Daughter: Kristie Schmidt of Jeffersonville; 2 Sisters: Jeanetta Cole and Janet Cole, both of Salem and 2 grandsons.
He was preceded in death by siblings: Robert Cole Sr., Jerolyn Bogard, Jocelyn Snyder and Judy Horine.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Friday and Noon to 2 pm Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Finney officiating. Interment and Committal Service will follow at Cole Hollow Cemetery near Campbellsburg.
