Susan J. Dugger, age 94 of Salem, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 in her residence.
Born November 3, 1925 in Cranes Nest, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Monroe H. and Minerva J. (Clouse) Helton.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and had been a resident of Washington County since 1956, formerly of Laurel County, Kentucky.
On February 25, 1946 she married Elmer Hubbard, who passed away in 1954. On December 5, 1956 she married Alonzo W. Dugger, who passed away January 25, 1993.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Maxine (Danny) Perry of Knoxville, Tennessee and Lorene (Homer) Stewart of Salem; 4 Stepdaughters: Rosie Lee and Patty (Bill) Maness of Burlington, North Carolina, Ruby (Glen) Purdue of Bloomington and Faye Droud of Ft. Myers, Florida; 3 Sons: Charles (Bobbie) Hubbard of Austin, Larry (Linda) Hubbard of Salem and John (Rhonda) Dugger of Bedford; 2 Stepsons: Willis Dugger of Sebastian, Florida and Morris (Barbara) Dugger of Ft. Pierce, Florida; 1 Sister: Sally Hager of Maynardville, Tennessee; 23 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters
Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Thursday at Dawalt Funeral Home followed by interment in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
Visitation: 10 am until the time of the service on Thursday.
