Steven R. Short

Steven R. Short, age 71 of Salem, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in the University Of Louisville Hospital. 

Born January 4, 1951 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Claude  Short Jr. and Faye K. (Colglazier) Short.  

A life resident of Washington County, he was a 1969 graduate of Salem High School and served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy.
Steve retired from the United States Postal Service in Salem in 2014.

On June 28, 2005 he married Kay (Ashabraner) Short, who survives.

Also surviving are:  Son: Zeb (Shelly) Short of Salem;  Daughter: Ry (Justin) Bowling of Salem;  Sister: Wanda Roberts of Grand Rapids, Michigan;  
Grandchildren: Baylee Bowling and Gryphon Short and several nieces and nephews. 

There will be a visitation from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday May 31st at Dawalt Funeral Home.
