Ronald D. Freed

Ronald Dean Freed, age 79 of Pekin, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 in Norton Hospital Louisville.

Born December 18, 1943 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late James Cleo and Mary Magdalene (Reynolds) Freed.

He was a retired construction worker, mechanic and pipe layer.

He was a member of the Lost River Baptist Church as a child, had been a life resident of Washington County and was a 1961 graduate of Campbellsburg High School. He loved old street rods and was a member of the National Street Rod Association.

On December 21. 1963 he married Linda Lou (Singleton) Freed, who survives. 
Also surviving are 2 Sisters: Connie Holmes and Joyce Durham; Grandchildren: Austin and Colton McPheeters, Jenna Marquand and Great grandchildren: Braiden White and Aiden Marquand.

He was preceded in death by 3 sons: James Michael, Danny Lee and Ronald Kevin Freed, 1 daughter: Julie Ann Freed, 1 Brother: Jack Bailey and 1 Sister: Brenda Money.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home, followed by interment in Saltillo Cemetery.

Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Monday and 11 am until the time of the service on Tuesday.
