Obituary
Robert E. Geralde, age 91 of Salem, Indiana passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 1:32 pm, in his residence.
Born February 10, 1931 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Charles E. Geralde and Mabel E. (Davis) Geralde.
He was a life resident of Washington County, a 1949 graduate of Salem High School and received his Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue University in 1959 before earning his Master's degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the Salem Masonic Lodge #21 F. & A.M.
He retired as a Manager of Engineering from the old Hawk Precision Components Company in Campbellsburg and was a former employee with the old North American Aviation, RCA, Winslow Construction, Gould and Helsel Manufacturing.
On January 1, 1950 he married Dorothy Jane (Farlow) Geralde, who passed away October 16, 2015
Survivors include:
Daughter: Robin (Dirk) Melchior of Avon, Indiana, Son: Jeff (Rhonda) Geralde of Salem, Granddaughter: Elizabeth Geralde of Salem and Step grandson: Jake L. Heart of Salem.
He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Betty J. Holsapple.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Steven Gorman officiating.
Visitation: 3 to 6 pm Sunday and 10 am to 11 am on Monday.
Interment will follow the funeral at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem.
