Mary Lou (Fancher) Smedley Brewer

Mary Lou Smedley Brewer, age 89 of Salem, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, in Hampton Oaks Health Campus Scottsburg.

Born April 5, 1932 in Hardinsburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeis and Iva (Humphrey) Fancher.

She was a retired bookkeeper with the old Smith Cabinet Company and Childcraft Inc. in Salem and a former employee of the old Ralph Myers Construction Company and Feralloy Powdered Metals in Salem.

She was a member of the Canton Christian Church and had been a life resident of Washington County.

On September 29, 2000 she married Gene M. Brewer, who passed away July 7, 2013.

Survivors include: Daughter: Kathi L. Batman; Son: Larry T. Smedley;  2 granddaughters, 6 great grandchildren and 2 nephews.

Graveside Service: 11:00 am Saturday at Crown Hill Cemetery with Pastor Toney Voyles officiating.
