Ivan Vance Skelton, Sr.

Ivan Vance Skelton, Sr., age 95 of Salem, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018. Born June 23, 1922 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Thorton and Marie (Wright) Skelton.  He was a member of the Blue River Baptist Church, had been a life resident of Washington County and was a former member of the Indiana National Guard.
On November 27, 1947, Ivan married Betty L. (Vittitow) Skelton, who passed away July 2, 2012.  Survivors include: Son: Jeffrey Skelton, 2 Daughters: Catherine (Mike) Daugherty and Linda (Mike) Lilly; 2 Sisters: June Motsinger and Barbara Rose; 1 Brother: Everett Skelton and 4 Grandchildren: Andrew Daugherty, Michael (Kristi) Lilly, Sarah and Elizabeth Lilly.
He was preceded in death by 1 son: Ivan V. Skelton Jr., 1 granddaughter: Amy Marie Daugherty and 2 brothers: Glen and Cleo Skelton.

Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Mike Motsinger officiating.    Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation: 12 to 2 pm Saturday.
