Glada Daniel, age 97 of Pekin, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in Salem Crossing.
Born March 4, 1925 in Denver, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Sarah Blair.
She was a retired employee of Brown & Williamson in Louisville, had been a resident of Washington County since 1999, formerly of New Albany, was a 1947 graduate of Oil Springs High School and loved bluegrass music.
On October 11, 1947 she married Carl Daniel, who passed away December 9, 2013.
Survivors include: 2 Sons: Carl M. Daniel of Shepherdsville, Kentucky and Garland Daniel of Alabama; 6 Daughters: Andrea Brewer of Pekin, Marlena Buchanan of Henderson, Kentucky, Karen Young of Hardinsburg, Darlene Castellano of Lexington, Indiana, Charlene Payne of Salem and Rosemary Reed of Georgetown, Indiana; 1 Sister: Tryphena Wilson of Scottsburg; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and countless nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: 1 daughter Sarah Hanger, 3 brothers, 6 sisters and 1 son-in-law: Paul Young, Jr.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home, followed by interment in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
Visitation: 9 to 11 am Saturday.
