Gary G. Williams

Gary Williams, age 70 of Salem, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 10:05 am, in Baptist Health East in Louisville, Kentucky. 

Born October 28, 1951 in Salem, Indiana the son of W. Lawrence and Helen E. (Gray) Williams, who preceded him in death.

He was a life resident of Washington County and a 1970 graduate of Salem High School. On June 4, 1972 he married  Cindy J. (Mobley) Williams.

Gary retired from Duke Energy after 30 years of service. Gary had a loving, generous nature and loved talking and joking with everyone he met. He never met a stranger.  He loved music and was an avid fan of IU basketball.  He loved his pets and trips to The Smokey Mountains.  Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

Survivors include: his wife and best friend, Cindy of 49 years. 1 brother: Jerry (Linda) Williams of Salem; 2 sisters: Joyce (Whitey) Martin  and Gina (Jimmy) Davidson of Salem; 1 grandson: Cory James (Haylee) Williams of Salem and 
Granddaughter: Jordan (Jeremiah) Mitchell of Salem;  1 Great Granddaughter: Rylee Williams, nieces and nephews and his four legged friends: Penny Lane and Charlie.

He was preceded in death by: 1 Son Cory A. Williams and his beloved dog Murphy.  
  
Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Pastor Don Hicks officiating.  
Visitation: 10 am until the time of the service on Saturday.
