Floyd E. Balentine

Floyd E. Balentine, age 81 of Pekin, Indiana passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 in his residence. 

Born July 31, 1941 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Claude Ray  and Irene  (Martin) Balentine.

He retired from UHL Truck Sales and was a member of the Bunker Hill Christian Church.

He married Sharon Kay (Scott) Balentine, who passed away June 9, 2014.

Survivors include:  4 Sons: Scott and Larry Balentine, both of Pekin, Mark and Jimmy Balentine, both of Salem;  2 Daughters: Linda Starrett and Virginia Borden, both of Salem;  2 Brothers: Ernie and Randy Balentine;  2 Sisters: Jean Churchman and Mary Ann Lang; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: 1 grandson, Logan Starrett, a son-in-law, Rick Starrett, 3 sisters Virginia, Trudy and Lily Lanham and 2 brothers: Carl and Kenneth Balentine.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Thursday at Dawalt Funeral Home, followed by interment in Bunker Hill Cemetery.

Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Wednesday and 9 am until the time of the service on Thursday.
