Fern Kay Strother, age 77 of Campbellsburg, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019, in IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born July 8, 1942 in Campbellsburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late L. Ted and Jeannette O. (Wilson) Walton.
She was a retired employee of GKN Sinter Metals in Salem after 33 years and loved farming and cutting wood. She was a member and an avid volunteer of the Sugar Creek Christian Church, handling the books and membership. She had been a life resident of Washington County and was a 1960 graduate of Hardinsburg High School.
On December 15, 1960 she married Donald Strother, who survives.
Also surviving are: Son: Greg (Donna) Strother of Campbellsburg; Daughter: Cindy Strother of Campbellsburg; 3 Sisters: Jane (Kenneth) Parsley of Salem, Sharon (Marce) Lee and Sandra (Jon) Green, both of Campbellsburg; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Barbara McCoskey.
Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Saturday at Sugar Creek Christian Church, followed by interment in Cavetown Cemetery.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Friday at Dawalt Funeral Home and 10 am until the time of the service on Saturday at Sugar Creek Christian Church.
