Dennis Lee Armand, age 86 of Salem, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the residence of his daughter in Dupont, Indiana.
Born December 1, 1936 in Canaan, Indiana, he was the son of the late Charles Andrew and Ethel Evelyn (Earle) Armand.
He retired in 1989 from the old Washington County Memorial Hospital in Salem after more than 40 years. He served in the Armed Forces in the Indiana National Guard for 34 years, had been a resident of Washington County for most of his life, was a 1955 graduate of Central High School in Madison and attended Hanover College.
On November 17, 1984 he married Nancy L. (Sill) Armand, who passed away May 13, 2018.
Survivors include: 2 Sons: Jeffery A. (Susie) Armand of Evansville and Michael Armand of Salem; Daughter: Kimberly Jean (Tim) Sexton of Dupont, Indiana ; Sister: Marilyn (Ken) Volz of Madison; 5 Grandchildren: Uriah Steven (Mandy) Anderson of Maine, Brogan Armand of Evansville, Dustin Armand of Salem, Denver Sexton of Dupont and Alexis Armand of Evansville.
He was preceded in death by: Son: Steven L. Armand, 3 Sisters: Fern Armand, Donna Jean Day and Virginia M. Grimes and 5 Brothers: Earle L., Larry Eugene, Glen Wilbur, Ralph Edward and Kenneth Armand.
A Celebration of His Life will be held from 4 to 6 pm Thursday at Dawalt Funeral Home. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery at a later date.
