Carl Fromelius Obituary

Carl J. Fromelius, age 86 of Salem, Indiana passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 09:24 am, in Ascension St. Vincent Salem Hospital.

Born August 26, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio, wh was the son of the late Anthony Fromelius and Mary (Simonek) Fromelius.
He earned his associate degree in Business from the University of Buffalo and then served in the U.S. Army at the Armor Center in Ft. Knox, Kentucky.

He started and manage the old Advanced Mobile Homes in 1965 that eventually became Salem Mobile Homes until he retired in 2000.

He was a member and Elder with the First Christian Church of Salem, and was a Master Mason with the Salem Masonic Lodge #21 F. &A.M.

On November 15, 1969 he blended a family of 6 children and became the husband of Barbara L. (Trueblood) Fromelius, who preceded him in death after 50 years of marriage.
Carl was involved in many things throughout his long life including: Local Boy Scout Leader, Salem School Bus Driver, 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rites and he always enjoyed showing his antique cars, RC airplanes and model trains.  

Survivors include:
Son: Michael (Linda) Fromelius of Orlando, FL;
Son: Robert (Janis) Fromelius of Frisco, TX;
Daughter: Julie Maudlin of Salem;
Son: Peter (Val) Fromelius of Walton, IN;
Stepdaughter: Christie (Glenn) Luckett of Salem;
Stepson: Tom (Jess) Paris of Salem;  
10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by:
Wife Barbara and his birth mother Rose Simonek 

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Friday at First Christian Church of Salem
Masonic Memorial Service: 7:30 pm Thursday at Dawalt Funeral Home
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Thursday at Dawalt Funeral Home and 11 am till time of the service Friday at First Christian Church. 
Interment will follow the funeral at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem, Indiana with full military honors.
