Rose M. (Coffey) Jonas

Rose M. Jonas, age 79 of Salem, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 3:50 am, in Baptist Health Floyd New Albany.

Born July 22, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George and Rachel (Goodrich) Coffey. 

On March 29, 1963 she married Robert Lewis Jonas, who passed away October 2, 2013.

She had been a resident of Washington County since 1973 and was the retired owner of Out of The Way Curls in Salem. She was a member of the Eastview Baptist Church in Paoli, was a Jack of all trades and a King of none and loved birds and her yard.  

Survivors include: 4 Daughters: Bonnie Lakes and Joanna (Danny) Nicholson of Salem, Michele Riedesel of Laramie, Wyoming and Donna (Greg) Strother of Campbellsburg; 1 Son: Robert Dale (Judy) Jonas of Livonia, Indiana; 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.  

She was preceded in death by 3 Sisters: Joanne Coffey, Joyce Coffey and Judy Scrogham.

Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Monday and 9 to 11 am Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home. 
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Strother officiating.   Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
