Roger Dean Smith of Campbellsburg,Indiana passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 9 am in the Meadow View Health Care Center of Salem, at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 28 days. Born: March 12, 1931 in Campbellsburg, Indiana, he was the son of the late Berley Smith and Blanche (Bundy) Smith. He married Hoyt (Wolf) Smith, who preceded him in death. He was a cook and painter at various places in Madison, Indiana and was a former employee of the Lytle Funeral Chapel in Madison. He was a member of the Campbellsburg First Christian Church and served during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include: Sister: Violet Malott, Salem, Indiana; Sister: Carol Livesay, Salem, Indiana; Brother: Melvin Smith, Campbellsburg, Indiana. He was preceded in death by: 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Monday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Sunday and after 9 am Monday. Interment at Hop Cemetery in Campbellsburg, Indiana.
