Robert W. Floyd

Robert W. Floyd, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 in the University of Louisville Hospital.
Bob was born February 15, 1936 to Sam and Opal (Hobson) Floyd in Pekin, Indiana.  He is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife of 56 years, Jewel Wingfield Floyd.

Bob was a 1954 graduate of Pekin High School and was employed for 41 years at General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky.  He was also an employee at Miller Hardware in Salem for several years. Bob was a member of the Indiana National Guard, the Masonic Lodge and the Canton Christian Church.

Bob is survived by a brother, Roger (Bonnie) Floyd of Salem and 3 children, Sherri (Kevin) Probus, Chris (Karen) Floyd and Tony Floyd, all of New Albany.  4 grandsons, Ian and Cameron Thompson, Alex and Connor Floyd and 3 great grandchildren, Alivia and Sawyer Thompson and Layne Thompson.

Bob was a wonderful father and will be so missed by his family and many friends.  We love you dad!

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Sunday and 9 to 11 am Monday.
Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
