Nancy L. (Sill) Armand

Nancy L. Armand, age 77 of Salem, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at 4:25 pm, in her residence. 
   She was born to Heber and Helen Sill in Beck's Mill, Indiana on February 12, 1941. 
   Nancy was married to Dennis Armand on November 11, 1984.  She graduated from Salem High School in 1959 and was employed as a receptionist to Dr. Eddie R. Apple for approximately forty years.
Nancy had many and varied interests.  She was an aavid reader and NASCAR enthusiast and as a young lady enjoyed horseback riding and boating.
   She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend.  No matter how busy her life became, she always made the time to bake cookies and cakes for her family and to give them encouragement when needed (or discouragement in the event it became necessary).
She will be deeply missed.
   Nancy is survived by her husband: Dennis Armand of Salem;  Son: Joey
(Wanda) Knight of Salem;  Sister: Doris Lyon of Scottsburg;  Brother: Gary Sill (Gloria) of North Carolina;  Three step-children: Michael Armand of Salem, Kim (Tim) Sexton of Dupont and Jeffrey (Suzie) Armand of Evansville and 4 grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, Heber and Helen Sill, three brothers Chester, Don and John Sill (all of Salem) and two sons: Jerry Knight Jr. and Jeffrey Knight (both of Salem).

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Wednesday at Dawalt Funeral Home with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation: 11 am until the time of the service on Wednesday.
