Mildred Louise (Day) Miller

Mildred Louise Miller, age 97 of Salem, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 3:37 am, in Hendricks Regional Health at Danville.

Born April 12, 1921 in Salem, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Charles Francis and Isalene (Anderson) Day.

Mildred was a 1938 graduate of Salem High School and a member of the First Baptist Church of Salem.   She was a former member of the Salem Farmers Club, the Mothers Club and the Friendly Home Demonstration Club.

On February 14, 1942 she married Glenn R. Miller, who passed away January 28, 2011. 

Survivors include: Daughter: Phyllis (Larry) Denny of Brownsburg, Indiana and Son: Melvin (Kimberly) Miller of Salem;  2 grandsons: Jeffrey (Wendy) Denny and Charles Miller and 2 great grandchildren: Alexander (Trisha) Denny and Meghan Denny; and a sister: Carol June Howell.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Oral, Glen and Harold Day.

Funeral Service: 1:30 pm Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home followed by interment in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9:00 am until the time of the service on Saturday.
