Mary Louise (Proffitt) Taylor

Mary Louise Taylor, age 77 of Salem, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 6:32 pm, in her residence.  Born February 14, 1940 in , Lincoln County Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Tressie G. (VanWinkle) Proffitt.  She was a retired LPN with the old Heritage House of Salem and had been a resident of Washington County for most of her life.  She married April 9, 1986 to Dannie Taylor, who survives.  Also surviving are: 1 Son: William "Woody" Naugle, Salem; 1 Daughter: Ronda Willis, Scottsburg;  1 Stepson: Dannie Taylor Jr., Zion, Kentucky;  1 Stepdaughter: Danielle Taylor, Austin;  3 Sisters: Martha Jantzen, New Albany,  Patricia Coleman, Bloomington and Alma Hix, Idaho Falls, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother, James H. Proffitt and 2 grandsons, Ryan & Travis Dixon.

Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home
      Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Friday and after 9 am Saturday.
            Interment at Franklin Cemetery.
