I'd meant to post a few years ago but did not. I only got to know John for a year, back in the 85/86 school year at IUS, but what a year that was. I was a Sophomore that year and he was a Freshman. We were part of a tight circle of friends that included the two of us, John Henry Wheatley, Mari Coots, David Cole and Tammy Seaver. John was a phenomenal guy, and we often thought he was the smartest one in our group. So many great memories of our going to class, running around campus, playing pranks on our friends, sneaking up to the roof of the Life Science Building--where John proclaimed it as our territory in his own unique way, messing with our favorite janitor (Joe Pangburn) by leading him on scavenger hunts to find his cart, who knows how many meals we had at Chi Chi's, eating lunch in John Henry's truck and watching the goings on in the parking lot, playing pool at the Green Door, and just hanging out and talking. Those were some golden times and it was sad when he was not able to come back in the Fall and our group started to fall apart. I wish that we'd stayed in touch, I would love for him to know that I'm a Biology Professor now, and I hope he has had a chance to catch up with Mari since we lost her a couple of years ago during the pandemic. I laughed so hard at the stories John could tell. Thinking of some of our adventures now definitely brings a smile to my face and a few chuckles too. You brought a lot of joy to people old friend, and you are greatly missed.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to John's family. John was not only a client, but a friend. I talked to him just the other day. Whenever he called regarding his insurance, we would talk Brownstown and Salem sports. Rest in Peace John.
