Harriet Bina (Talmadge) Schamber

     Harriet Bina Schamber, age 95 of Salem, Indiana passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at 9:30 in the  Salem Crossing care facility. Born November 11, 1922 in Panama Canal Zone, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Talmadge and Bina (Richards) Talmadge. She married October 4, 1947 to Sidney D. Schamber, who passed away February 4, 1994 .
     She was a 1941 Graduate of Oaklandon High School, a 1973 graduate of Ball State University and graduated with a masters degree in special education from Indiana University. She was a retired special education teacher with the Warren Township School System in Indianapolis.   Harriet had been a member of the Kiwanis club of North Vernon, Delta Theta Tau Sorority, and the Wednesday Research club and attended the Oaklandon Christian Church of Indianapolis.
     Her survivors include:   Son: Rick Schamber, North Vernon, Indiana;   Daughter: Rebecca "Becky" A. Schamber, Salem, Indiana;   Daughter: Jenny L.(Chris) Bundy, Salem, Indiana;   Brother: Richard Talmadge, Tampa Bay, Florida.  She is also survived by 3 grandchildren:Sarah Bundy (Andrew) Kruer of Fishers, Indiana; Seth Bundy of Salem and Zachary (Patricia) Bundy of Chicago;
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Larry Neil Schamber.

     There will be a memorial service followed by a luncheon, Tuesday February 13, at the Gladden House Bed and Breakfast located at 505 North Main street in Salem.
