Betty J. (Tegarden) Brown

Betty J. Brown, age 93 of Salem, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 4:05 am, in her residence.
Born February 16, 1925 in Salem, Indiana, the daughter of the late Morris and Ethel Murrell Tegarden.
She was a retired sales clerk and was a member and former Sunday School teacher at the First Baptist Church of Salem.  She had been a resident of Washington County for most of her life and was a graduate of Salem High School.
On October 22, 1944 she married Walter K. Brown, who passed away June 29, 1992.
Survivors include: Son-In-Law: John Williams of Fort Wayne;  Granddaughter: Carissa (Matthew) Dollar of Indianapolis and 3 great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her daughter: Tena K. Williams.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home followed by interment in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Friday and 9 am until the time of the service on Saturday.
