Bennie Burton

Bennie Burton passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Clark Memorial Hospital.  Born on February 2, 1934 on Hell for Certain Creek in Leslie County Kentucky.  He was the son of Joe and Myrtle (Begley) Burton, both proceed him in death.  On April 24, 1982, he married Bonnie (Baker) who survives.  Bennie was a long term employee of Jeff Boat, member of the VFW, Masonic Lodge and the Valley of Indianapolis Scottish Rite. 
Survivors include son Stephen Burton, daughters Stephanie (Ricky) Lloyd and Billie Jo (Eric) Russell of Salem IN and four grandchildren, Emma Lloyd, Evan Lloyd, Xander Russell and Cheri Burton and great granddaughter Cloee Motsinger.   Bennie has two brothers Gran (Cathy) Burton of Greta LA and Ted (Pat) Burton of Hamilton OH and sister Glenda Burton of Seymour IN. 
He is proceeded in death by five sisters: Janet Holstine, Judy Clark, Emily Ratliff, Rebecca Burton, Marietta Rutherford and three brothers: Bob Burton, Hiram Burton and Danny Burton.

The Funeral will be held at Dawalt Funeral Home in Salem IN with visitation on Tuesday 4pm-8pm and Wednesday 11am-1pm with Funeral beginning at 1pm and burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. with full military honors.
